OFF-GRID SYSTEMS

Off grid systems provide a solution for consumers lacking practical access to the grid.  Either it doesn’t exist  or the cost of extending power lines is significantly offset by a renewable energy system.  We design, build and project manage the implementation of remote area power supplies anywhere in New Zealand.  Our systems comply with the latest AS/NZS standards and are carefully designed to give years of trouble free, reliable service.  We arrange for independent inspection of our projects to ensure all regulatory requirements are met…….giving you peace of mind.

System Modelling

Where multiple inputs are being considered, we can model the system using Homer-Pro software.  This enables us to determine the optimal mix of generation inputs in terms of capital cost and ongoing operational costs.  The end result is a system that provides value for money over its entire operating life.

Detailed Design

We work closely with you to understand your requirements and expectations.  Off grid systems can very from inexpensive, simple 12VDC systems right through to comprehensive 240VAC with multiple energy inputs such as wind, solar and diesel generation.  We start by working with you to develop a load profile.  Using this and meteorological data we size a system to suit your requirements.  All our systems are fully documented with Operations and Maintenance manuals to ensure ongoing hassle-free operation.

Project Management

We provide project management services covering all phases of a project; working for our clients to ensure accountability, transparency, close management of project risk and ultimately the delivery of value. Typical deliverables include:

– Pre-feasibility and feasibility studies

– Development of project financial, risk and quality plans.

– Time and cost management

– Construction management

– Quality, development and management of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)

– Status reporting

– Health and safety reviews and audits

– Commissioning, acceptance and handover
